Chairman, House
Committee on Defence, Babajimi Benson, has confirmed that foreign countries are
funding insurgency in Nigeria.
He stated this at
the security meeting where Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi
Gbajabiamila asked the security chiefs to proffer solutions to the worsening
insecurity in the country.
Mr Gbajabiamila
described lawmakers’ call for the sack of Service Chiefs as a natural reaction.
He added that there
is need to understand the challenges faced by the security agencies to be able
to avert further loss of lives and property.
