The Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, for the South-South, Bishop Simeon Okah has said that the raging insecurity across the country is “disturbing and assuming an alarming rate.”

Making the assertion in Warri, Delta State, on Saturday during a media chat on the state of the nation, the P FN leader expressed displeasure over the increase in the wave of criminalities in the country saying the government should forcefully wade in before it gets out of hand.

He specifically urged the Federal Government to “act fast on the issue of youth unemployment across the nation to prevent a second #EndSARS protest, which will not be good for the country.”

“Should the Federal Government wait, doing nothing concrete on the massive youth unemployment ravaging the country, and allow these restive youths to go all out into the streets and embark on a second nationwide #EndSARS protest, I will not hesitate to put on my jeans and T-shirt and join them in solidarity,” Bishop Okah stated.

The religious leader, however, enjoined the Governors of the various states of the federation to stop the blame game and rejig their internal security apparatuses, to flush out the terrorists hibernating in their respective domains.

He said, “During the Goodluck Jonathan era, Governors in the North were blaming South-South Governors and leaders, for not doing enough in curtailing militancy. Now, it is their turn as Boko Haram and bandits continue to ravage their domains, giving them sleepless nights. For how long do we continue this way?”

The PFN leader expressed grave concern over the continued retention of the Service Chiefs in the waves of the recurring kidnappings and killings of innocent souls across the country.

“The President himself, his heart is hardened concerning the Service Chiefs despite the cries from well-meaning Nigerians to relief them,” Bishop Okah posited.
