The cleric called on philanthropists, religious organizations, and humanitarian groups to prioritize efforts to combat illiteracy and provide educational opportunities for all Nigerian children. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo echoed Bishop Kukah’s sentiments, urging the Rotary club to redouble its efforts in promoting education and serving humanity. He emphasized the importance of collective action in addressing Nigeria’s security challenges and called on participants to use the conference as an opportunity to make a positive impact on society.

The escalating insecurity in Nigeria has led to widespread concern among stakeholders, with calls for decisive action from the government. In response to the crisis, some lawmakers have proposed enlisting military mercenaries to tackle the nation’s security challenges, underscoring the urgency of the situation.
