Slain Farmers

The Kebbi State branch chairman of the National youth caucus of Nigeria (NYCN) Alhaji Sanusi Bala Dan inno has condemned the dastard massacre of innocent farmers in Zabarmari at Jere local government area of Borno state.

He said the killings of Nigerians by the dreaded Boko Haram is one too many and their unhindered actions cast doubt on government ability to protect her citizens, Bala added that, aside boko haram innocent citizens are either kidnapped, robbed or raped by unscrupulous elements with reckless abadone” we hereby condemned the killings in totality and we are calling on Buhari to take concrete actions against the culprits, as youth body we will not fold our arms and allow needless killing while the government engage on media propaganda, government must be alive to its constitutional duties of providing security to lives and property he said”.

He regretted that, the killings came at a time when the government asked citizens to go back to farms for self reliance unfortunately he said same government has failed to protect the farmers.

He explained that, the entire north that used to be a haven for peace is now like a war zone, killings in Zamfara, katsina, Borno, Yobe and Taraba state where a huge number of people were murdered in cold blood over ethnic crisis, many also were killed in the southeast allegedly by IPOB, similar inhuman killings in the south west by cult groups ,we are saying it without mincing words that, the central government must stop the waton killings.

While urging youth to shun drug addiction, banditry and other forms anti social behavior we call on government to engage youth meaningfully or risk a second wave of protest over insecurity in the country, he thanked Bagudu led government for her attention on youth in the state, according to him Kebbi government agricultural policy has helped a lot of youth in the state but warned that ghost farmers must be removed to ensure the sustainability of the program, he also advised youth to take part in the ongoing youth social interventions programs initiated by the federal government to create jobs for the teaming unemployed youth in the state.
