A house of representatives hopeful under the platform of peoples redemption party(PRP), Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi shamaki, on Friday visited the palace of the emir of Gwandu, his royal highness Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar to seek royal blessings from the monarch and to inform him of his intention to contest, Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza federal constituency.
Speaking during the visit, Shamaki told the emir’s council members that, he joined politics to salvage the country because as a law maker if elected will work hard to ensure his people gets good representations they deserve and protect traditional institutions, adding that without royal farthers peace and progress cannot be acheived ” we are here to inform you and seek your royal highness support”.
Responding, the emir of Gwandu, his royal highness Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar thanked the political entaurage for the courtesy call on his emirate and prayed for peace and progress of the country, he admonished them to be true representatives after they are elected into office and to remember that, they will be accountable for their steadwarship at the hereafter the monarch has said, prayers were offered for the good health of the emir and the nation.
