The awaited budget has finally been presented at the joint national assembly today, the 2021 budget actually caught many off guard.
The presented budget generated reactions from well meaning Nigerians reactions from kebbi State are mainly of disapproval, one Almustapha Haruna described the budget as empty, he contended that, the president is not serious in the fight against insurgency and banditry which is on the increase, according to him reducing defence budget even though huge billions have been spent without positive impact but it doesn’t warrant reducing it and add to the national assembly budget, even kebbi that used to be secured is no longer safe as the southern part of the state is constantly under siege by armed bandits who randomly kidnapped people, he maitained that huge billions being channeled to capital projects can be used to assist Nigerians.
Another person from Kebbi Asiya Dan Bala said that his budget has fallen short of human development he didn’t mention welfare of citizens whose bellies are too empty to see any infrastructure as often talked about, frustration, joblessness has increased rate suicides in the country alot of Nigerians lost confidence and hope in the Buhari led government, she added that Nigerians now don’t pay attention to budget because the five budgets in his first tenure and now the sixth made little or not impact on the citizenry.
According to another man who dont want to be mention said Buhari’s budget was a mere presentation of decuments with nothing to write home about, he urged him to direct the government energies in unifying the country and strive hard to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians.
