Mu'azu

The new Permanent Secretary who was on official assignment outside the country when announcement of his redeployment was made officially resumed duty on Tuesday 10th October, 2018.

He replaced the erstwhile Permanent Secretary, Dr. Bukar Hassan who retired from service.

Addressing Directors of the Ministry, Dr. Mu’azu called for dedication and team spirit from management and staff of the Ministry, saying this is the surest way that the Ministry can deliver on its mandate of developing agriculture to attain national food security and provide jobs for the country’s teeming youth population.

Dr.  Mu’azu commended his predecessor for the giant strides recorded while in the civil service especially on the achievements on agriculture and promised to continue with the good works left behind by the former Permanent Secretary.

He said the nation looks up to development of the agriculture sector to achieve economic growth and prosperity.

He thanked the management and members of staff of the Ministry for the support and cooperation they accorded his predecessor and admonished   them to extend same gesture to him.

Speaking on behalf of the Directors, the Director, Human Resources Development Department in the Ministry, Mrs Bawa Abiola promised the new helmsman the loyalty and cooperation of members of staff.
