The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) has eventually confirmed the first case of Omicron COVID-19 variant in Nigeria.
This was disclosed in a press statement by the Director-General of the NCDC, Dr Ifedayo Adetifa on Wednesday morning.
The centre had two days ago denied any record of the variant in Nigeria.
