A non governmental organization, Mental and Oral Health Organization in kebbi state has said it has as part of its functions trained at least five thousands youths on mental and oral health in kebbi state,the beneficiaries according to the head of the organization miss Iyadi Linda Ekele are mostly pupils and students across the selected schools in the state
Linda made the disclosure at the office complex in Birnin kebbi,she added that oral and mental health belongs to all ages,she said the essence of the exercise is to sensitise members of the public on the need for them to maintain oral hygiene and to ensure mental stability to prevent them from harbouring ill thoughts due to the situation they find themselves.
The mental and oral therapist said her organization source funds from well meaning persons and endowments funds,so far it has reached several high institutions in the state with same mission of boosting oral health which lots of people didn’t take serious,she noted that mental therapy can save lots of young people in the society, therefore the to need to take campaigns to every nooks and crannies of kebbi state is Paramount, she urged the state government to give the NGO attention in order for them to actualise their dream of ensuring every indigene of kebbi state gets his or her required knowledge of both oral and mental health she said.
