Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has warned that Nigeria is on the brink of a major crisis, emphasizing that purposeful leadership and teamwork are crucial for the country’s progress. Speaking at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta during a meeting with six lawmakers, Obasanjo stressed that significant changes in governance are necessary for Nigeria’s development.

The lawmakers, led by Hon. Ugochinyere Ikenga, visited Obasanjo to discuss bills they co-sponsored, including proposals for a single six-year term for the president and governors, power rotation between the northern and southern regions, and holding all major elections on a single day.

Obasanjo also addressed the demands of the #EndBadGovernance protesters, asserting that their grievances are legitimate and deserve attention. He warned that ignoring the frustrations of the youth, who are hungry, unemployed, and angry, could lead to serious consequences for the nation.
