NJC Recommends 86 Judges for Federal and State Courts

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has recommended the appointment of 86 judicial officers to various federal and state courts across Nigeria. This decision was made during the NJC’s 105th plenary meeting held from May 15 to 16, 2024, as announced by the council’s Director of Information, Soji Oye, on May 16.

The recommended appointments, which span the Court of Appeal, High Courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Sharia Courts of Appeal, and Customary Courts of Appeal, will be finalized following approvals from the President and respective State Governors.
