The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Zone “A” has congratulated APC leader in Sokoto State, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, over his recent victory during the just-concluded National Assembly elections where he was re-elected as a Senator for the third time.
This was contained in a congratulatory letter signed by the Vice President of the Union in charge of Zone “A”, Mallam Muhammad Tukur Umar.
Mallam Tukur described the election of Sen. Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District at the Red Chamber as a good omen for the people of Sokoto State and the zone he particularly represents.
Mallam Tukur, on behalf of the NUJ leadership in the zone, prayed Allah, the Almighty to continue to guide Sen. Wamakko to be able to bring more positive changes to his constituents for the rapid socio-economic development of the country as a whole.
Similarly, the management of a commercial Bank in the State, Zenith Bank Plc, has also congratulated Wamakko on his emergence as the Senator for Sokoto North Senatorial District for an enviable third term.
A statement authorized by the Senior Manager, Sokoto 2 of the Bank, Mr. Abdulkadir A. Farid, described the election of Sen. Wamakko as a well deserved appointment which came at the right time.
The statement further explained that Wamakko”s victory was a confirmation of his hard work, diligence, and an unblemished record in moving the State forward.
The management of the Bank prayed Allah, the Almighty to continue to help, protect and guide the Senator to be able to deliver on his plans to the people he represents.
Responding to the two letters, Sen. Wamakko thanked them for their invaluable goodwill messages and prayed Allah to reward them abundantly.
A statement signed by media aide to the Senator, Bashar Abubakar, said he pledged to continue to do his possible best in the discharge of his assignment as a representative of the people of Sokoto North Senatorial District and the State as a whole
