Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the immediate construction work of 4.65 kilometers Akute-Denro-Ishasi road, 2.3 kilometers Olusegun Osoba Toyin street, both in Ogun Central Senatorial District and 3.1 kilometers 6 lane at Molipa expressway in Ogun East Senatorial District.
The State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, who made this known while briefing newsmen at the end of the weekly Virtual Executive Council meeting in Abeokuta, said the construction work at the aforementioned areas would boost economic activities when completed.
According to Akinsanya, government considered these roads, based on the priority list earlier submitted by various community leaders, after the State had inquired their inputs at the inception of the present administration.
“Among the three roads, two are from the Central in Ifo Local Government Area, the 4.65 kilometers Akute-Denro-Ishasi road, 2.3 kilometers Olusegun Osoba Toyin street in Agbado area, close to the new train terminal, and the last one which is in the East, Ijebu-Ode to be precise, is the 3.1 kilometers 6 lane at Molipa expressway which connects Ejinrin-Folagbade and Ago-Iwoye roads were all approved by the Council’’, Akinsanya stated.
The Commissioner said commencement of the construction work, would provide direct employment for about 4000 youths, urging citizens to be patient with the present administration, as all Local Government Areas would feel its impact in terms of good road infrastructure.
He noted that the ongoing construction work at Hospital road in Sagamu, Obantoko-Gbonogun, Vesper-Orita-Meje, Ijebu-Ode-Epe, Sagamu-Abeokuta interchange expressway, Elite- Oke-Lantoro, as well as Panseke-Adigbe roads, among others would soon be completed.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Public Communications, Hon. Remmy Hassan added that the Executive Council meeting resolved on the pricing of the housing project embarked upon by the State government, so as to reflect the affordable housing mantra of the present administration.
