Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has appointed 24 permanent Secretaries into the State Civil service.
The appointment is sequel to examination exercise conducted by the State Government for Directors in the MDAs and which saw the the appointees successful hence their appointments.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government,Kenneth Kalu (Professor) named the following as appointees:Ngozi Queen Obioma, Paul Ogwubunka, Uche Ukpabi, Okezie Chukwudike Godwin, Justina Oluchi Eboh and Ogechukwu Maduka.
Others include: Izuchukwu Onwughara, Obi-Chnanwalum Elechi Agatha, Chinagozi Bright Adindu, Ifeyinwa B Uma-Kalu, Ogechi Becky Oguama, Ijeoma Clara Dim, Nwanyieze O. Otum,Ugonma Mercy Jimonu and Benson Ojiekere.
Others are: Uchechukwu Kalu, Ikechukwu Chidozie Oriuwa, Ijeoma Adanma Aguwa, Florence Chidinma Nwogu, Magdalene Onwu,Ezinne Judith Ngwakwe, Cyril Chibuike Nwaigwe, Ugochukwu Elefue Kingston and Onwegbu Christopher Nledim.
The statement asked the appointees to wait for further directives.
It will be recalled that soon after assuming office as the Executive Governor of Abia State in May, 2023, he sent all the Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service.on compulsory leave before and later directed Permanent Secretaries and Directors who had put up to eight years in their various positions to retire.
