Priscila Otti, wife of Abia State Governor has unveiled the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Digital WorkStation which domiciles all the Laws of the state including Repotted Law case’s in the country and beyond.
Ott while unveiling the Abia Digital Law ICT Centre said the occasion was in tune with her husband’s resolve for a new Abia.
She said that the process would be extended to other MDAs so as to enhance E-governance in the state.
Also speaking during the occasion,Ikechukwu Uwanna, the State Attorney -General and Commissioner for Justice disclosed that when he assumed office, he requested from all the departments what their needs/problems were and one of them was this project of ICT.
Uwanna hinted that before now lawyers were going to Business centres where most of Government”s vital document’s were exposed to the public while lawyers were working there
Ajike Uwaoma Beatrice, Director of Legal Service’s and the Head of the Committee for the ICT project, before now they were going to Business centres to do whatever document’s that were vital to do their work which was a risk to government.
“All you have to do now is to enter the centre and do whatever document’s you want to do at speed. It speeds up judicial process which you can do at a press a button.and you will access whatever document’s you want.It is one-stop ICT Centre.’ enthused Ajike.
