A former commissioner for information in Kebbi state during Senator Adamu Alieru’s government Alhaji Abdullahi Lamba has rejected N20m to rejoin the ruling All progressives Congress APC in Kebbi state.
Lamba who was also a former chief of staff alleged to have been contacted by Bagudu,s close confident names withheld had offered to pay him the sum of twenty million as debt he is being owed by Bagudu government for a contract he executed as a precondition for him to defect to APC.
He alleged that, the money was brought to his Yauri house in “Ghana must go backs” around 1am ” but i rejected the monies i gave them my condition which is Kebbi government should commence immediate construction of road from Yauri town to Makerin and dug boreholes in some villages under Yauri local government with acute water supply problems, but they declined saying till i defect to APC and i refused they left with the monies and remain in PDP “.
He explained that, seven years down the line in the life of this administration nothing has been done to Yauri emirate and their people therefore until something concrete is done to Yauri government will not get his peoples support.
He lamentated that, despite his rejection of the enticing offer National body of the PDP, Senator Alieru and the former Senate leader Dr Yahya Abdullahi for whose reason and his loyalty he turned the request did not even send him a letter of commendations describing such as demoralising and discouraging, adding that, the three of them were in APC before they defected to the opposition peoples democratic party.
