…One Killed, 16 Injured.

Borno State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Aliyu has on Thursday confirmed the death of one person with 16 others injured following three explosions in Maiduguri metropolis.
CP told Journalists that the bomb explosions detonated three locations, in Mairu Kuwait , Customs Area and Gwange Area of Maiduguri metropolis.
According to him, the reasons behind the explosions or what actually caused the explosions was yet to be confirmed but Police teams had been dispatched to the scenes of the explosions already.
“We have dispatched our Explosive Ordinance Detection (EOD) to investigate the incidents and to determine whether it was an Improvised Explossive Device(IED). Right now, I am at the Specialist Hospital where we have 16 casualties and one dead so far,” Aliyu said.
Security personnel comprising the Army, Police, Rapid Response Squad, Civilian Joint Tast Force(CJTF), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) were seen rushing to the scenes to restore normalcy.
However, these explosions were coming just few hours after the Sajeri area if Maiduguri Metropolis 18 gunshots in the air and three bombs explosions detonated few minutes after the gunmen shot the air with their rifles and disappeared unceremoniously wesneday the night which uptil now there was no official statement from the secuirty agencies.
