Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has described the people of Sokoto as peace lovers and always ready to contribute to the unity of the country at large
The former Governor further hails Sultan of Sokoto of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar for confering on him the chieftaincy title, Jakada of Sokoto.
Idris made the commendation on Monday in his residence at Rujin Sambo area of Sokoto while talking to newsmen.
“I lauded the Sultan’s gesture for finding me worthy for the title” he stated .
Idris disclosed that though he started his life in Sokoto noted that Sokoto people are hospitable and accommodating
” I started my furniture business in Sokoto when the state was old Sokoto comprising Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara”.
He urged all Nigerians to live peacefully with one another irrespective of ethnic and religious background saying the unity of this country is sancronsant.
He further stated that he will remain a good ambassador of Sultanate council
