Unknown bandits, believed to be Fulani militia, Tuesday night launched yet another daring attack on a private University in Kaduna, kidnapping an unconfirmed number of students.
Greenfield University is an elitist institution that started operations about three years ago along the notorious Abuja road.
The university is within the territory of Kaduna State.
The proprietor of the institution has comfirmed that there was indeed an attack and that many students were abducted by the bandits.
So far, there is no official confirmation of the number of students that were Kidnapped but a local source confirmed that a staff of the University under its local security had been shot dead by the rampaging bandits.
The unfortunate attack came barely a week after Kaduna State Governor, Mr Nasir el-Rufai said the bandits did not deserve to live.
Some of the public utterances of the governor regarding banditry, according to pundits, were not necessary and that they believed he was unnecessarily instigating the illiterate bandits and creating unnecessary tension.
