The Director, National Youths  Service Corps (NYSC) South East Area Office Enugu, Alhaji Ahmed Wada Ikaka have charged the 2020 batch B stream 2 corps members in Abia state to take the covid-19 issues seriously.

Alhaji Ikaka gave the charge while addressing the corps members at the  Abia state NYSC orientation camp during his official visit to the camp.

The Director said he was impressed about the level of observance of the covid-19 protocols in the camp and told the corps members that they were the change agents the nation need.

Speaking on security, the South East NYSC Director adviced the corps members to pay special attention to their security.

He therefore enjoined them to avoid staying late night as well as avoid night parties.

To the female corps members, he said, “Do not take free ride, avoid accepting gifts from strangers”.

Speaking to them about posting, the Director told them that if they want to enjoy their service year they should be ready to go to the rural areas.

He finally warned them against the wrong use of the social media.

Earlier in her welcome address, the state coordinator NYSC Abia Lady Bona Fasakin reported that the corps members have been responding positively to all instructions given to them by their instructors, obeying all covid-19 safety protocols, and have been coopted into various committees where they were doing very well.
