………Says APC not ready to govern
Gbolahan Salman Sokoto
The immediate past Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial zone, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stop using some unsolicited and negative remarks about his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.
Tambuwal who spoke at PDP’s meeting in Sokoto said, from day one, APC as a political party, has no plans to secure the country, but only interested in power grabbing to rule the country.
He said, “The same Tinubu government that has failed to secure Nigerians in the past one year is now lamenting and disassociating itself from Buhari’s administrative failure.
“There’s no reason for the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to allow his aides or ministers to be castigating and attacking past APC government under Muhammadu Buhari which he has tremendously benefitted from.
“President Tinubu should face the governing of Nigeria with serious minded attention and not allow certain myopic tendencies in his government to destroy his good plans if at all there is any.
“In reality, Nigerians want to be assured of the security of their lives and properties anywhere they are in Nigeria. He should tell his cabinet members to work more on national cohesion and development if at all he is ready instead of apportioning blames on the past government of Buhari.”
Tambuwal further charged PDP supporters not to be discouraged about the happening in the country, rather to unite and ensure political understanding within the party’s family.
“You have been in the vanguard of change and political unity. This will be your guiding principles of peace and unity with discipline and respect to everybody in the party”
Tambuwal, however, commended PDP leadership in Sokoto State for their sacrifice and maintaining unity and development of the party at that level.
Earlier, Chairman of PDP inn Sokoto State, Alhaji Bello Goronyo, appreciated party’s supporters for their support so far, urging them not to relent.
He also commended Sen Tambuwal’s efforts in uniting the party in the state alongside his financial contribution towards the successful running of the party affairs in the state.
The stakeholders meeting of the party has in attendance all the party’s leadership and elders from the 23 local governments areas of the state.
