President Bola Tinubu has strongly condemned the recent suicide bombings in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, which resulted in multiple casualties.

According to PUNCH Online, the attacks on Saturday in Tashan Mararaba, Gwoza town, claimed the lives of at least six individuals and left many others injured. Dr. Barkindo M. Saidu, Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), reported that 18 people died and 19 were seriously injured.

In a statement released on Sunday by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu described the bombings as desperate acts of terror. He noted that these attacks reflect the pressure being applied to terrorists and the success in reducing their ability to launch offensives.

“The purveyors of violence will be punished,” President Tinubu declared. “These cowardly attacks are isolated incidents, and we will not let the nation descend into an era of fear, tears, sorrow, and blood.”

The President emphasized his administration’s commitment to securing the nation, stating, “We are taking necessary measures to protect our citizens, and we will redouble our efforts to ensure that those who disrupt law and order are completely eradicated.”

President Tinubu also expressed his condolences to the victims, their families, and the people of Borno State.
