VTV Imo Palm Landlord Association comprising Agwa in Oguta local government area, Egbema and Ohaji in Ohaji Egbema local government area all in Imo State on the 13th of July, 2018 in Amafor Ohaji elected executives that will pilot its affairs in the next four years.
Those elected during the free and fair election which was zoned to the three blocs include Chief Kyrian Ojiaku (AKA) Okilo Chairman, Vitus Enwereazu Financial Secretary, Temple Enwereazu Provost and Barrister Chris Kpatume Ex-officio member from Agwa zone.
From Egbema bloc were Edwin Azubuike Treasurer, Jacob Uzoka Public Relations Officer, Livinus Meffor Assistant Secretary, Rocky Chukwuma Ex-officio member.
Those who won in Ohaji zone include John Awulasam Secretary, Goddy Anuforo Vice Chairman, Ezenwoke Livinus O. Auditor, Canice Opara Assistant Public Relations Officer, Simeon Iwonwa Provost, Donatus Ajukwara Ex-officio member and Calistus Anokwuru Ex-officio member.
Inaugurating the newly elected officers, the chairman of the electoral committee Prof. Kyrian Nwanorh thanked the Association for their co-operation before and during the election and charged them to do their job with dedication to ensure that the aims and objectives of the organization is not defeated.
Speaking on behalf of his executive, the new chairman Kyrian Ojiaku thanked members for voting them to run their affairs. He described the election as free and fair and promised that his led executive will take the organization to a greater height.
Earlier in his valedictory speech, the immediate past chairman Barrister Ike Ezenwoke thanked God for giving his executive the grace to bring VTV Imo Palm Landlord Association to the map of Imo State noting that one of their achievements was the sack of Roche group that allegedly mismanaged the company.
He charged the executive to work in accordance with the organizations constitution even as he sued for peace while cautioning members against sabotage.
Reacting after the event, the Eze elect of Obosima autonomous community Nze Felix Oguchi, the Nze Udo 1 of Obosima described the election as most peaceful and advised the new executive to run an inclusive government that will not only carry the members along but to support the government of Imo State even as Chief Damian Onwugham advised the exco to work in synergy to ensure the development of VTV Imo Palm and workers welfare too.
Our correspondent reports that the special adviser to Rt. Hon. Goodluck Opiah and member representing Ohaji Egbema, Oguta and Oru West federal constituency at the National Assembly on special duties Comrade Patrick Ajare, Chief Okwu Onumara, Chief Evans Nwaigbo, Ezinna Celestine Aguocha, Patrick Amakiri, Hon. Kenneth Amajoyi, Daniel Osuji, Chief Kenneth Okwuodu and other members of the association were present during the election.
