ADP Candidate

The Presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), met with the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Wednesday, the meeting took place at the Presidential library in Ogun State capital city, Abeokuta.

Sani who met the Nigerian former Leader in company of his Vice Presidential candidate, Prince Kunle Olateru Olagbegi, Lagos State governorship candidate, Mr Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi, Platuea State governorship candidate, General Jon Temlong, Ogun Senatorial candidate, Chief Sowunmi, and Lagos State House of Assembly candidate, Mr Jide Ijimakinwa

Also In the delegation were the ADP National Vice Chairman, Hon Chima, National Deputy youth leader, Hon Dimeji Shotayo, Lagos State ADP Chairman, Barr Nasir Adewale Bolaji, his Ogun State counterpart, Chief Fatai Egunleti, Presidential spokesperson, Hon Ibrahim Pam, Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the party, Prince Adelaja Adeoye and other key party stalwarts.

According to Sani, he said it is important for him to visit the former President to share his aspirations with Obasanjo and why he is running for President. He praised Obasanjo for his numerous achievements as the former President and for keeping his eyes on the nation as an elderstateman.

Chief Obasanjo in his reaction, thanked Sani and his entourage for finding him worthy to visit, the former President canvassed for a peaceful 2019 elections, he also told the delegation that for the country to move forward, there must be democratic rule and good governance.

He added that, there must be short, medium and long term plans for ADP as a political party, he expressed happiness that Nigeria’s politics is becoming more participatory, urging Sani to intensify more effort in his Presidential campaign.

The ADP plateau State governorship candidate, General Jon Temlong extolled Chief Obasanjo for his role in ensuring that there is peace and stability since his military days, he said we are happy that “baba” is still very active and agile, he is still watching over our nation to ensure that there is peace and progress.

The delegation also visited the Board of Trustee Chairman of ADP, Chief Alani Bankole at his Abeokuta mansion. Chief Bankole said that Sani is eminently qualified to lead the country to greatness, he also charged him to keep up with his campaign, praying that God will lead the party to victory at the general polls.
