No fewer than ten aspirants have expressed interest to join the race for 2019 Isuikwuato Umunneochi Federal House under the plat form of PDP.
Some of the aspirants include Barrister Mrs. Loveth Ofegbu, Chief Emeka Ikwuagwu, Engr. Ihuoma Okoro and Hon. Jude Udeachara among others.
Speaking to our correspondent during the people’s democratic party working committee visit to Isuikwuato local government area of Abia State on the 8th May 2018, an aspirant Barrister Mrs. Loveth Ofegbu said her desire to represent the federal constituency was to attract development to the area. She noted that Isuikwuato had represented for 12 years and for the past 12 years Hon. Nkiruka Onyejiocha from Umunneochi has been the representative of the federal constituency to date and stressed the need for somebody from her bloc Uturu to go in line with equity, justice and fair play.
“As a former commissioner in Abia State and currently the board chairman of the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency ASEPA, I have the acumen to not only represent my people but to give them quality representation”.
“Hon. Nkiruka Onyejiocha has done very well and has spent 12 solid years in the representation of the area. In 2019, I want to replace her and contribute my quota to the development of my people”.
While lauding governor Ikpeazu for raising the bar of governance in Abia, she however urged the people of Isuikwuato Umunneochi Federal Constituency to register and obtain their voted cards and vote for PDP candidates in 2019.
