The people of Anambra State are in a frenzy mood to receive the news of the appointment of Commissioners who will serve in Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s cabinet.

The potential commissioners are expected to be drawn from academia with tested technocrats leading the train.

There is palpable fear among APGA politicians that Gov Soludo may jettison the old idea of appointing mainly politicians into his Cabinet as the Governor is wholely disposed to working with those who will assist him accomplish his missions as contained in his campaign manifesto during the electioneering period.

However, despite all insinuations, the people of the state are determined to cooperate with the new Governor to tackle numerous challenges facing the state.

Residents of Anambra State had waited patiently for long years for the expiration of the tenure of the last administration which posed a disappointment to the people of the state in the last eight years.

Engineer Leo Obiefuna, President, Laity Council, Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha in an interview said that the state is waiting anxiously for the new Commissioners who would assist the Governor achieve his objectives.

Engr. Obiefuna who expressed hope on the calibre of people to be appointed, however, noted that purposeful leadership should be the watchword of any person appointed by the current administration.
