The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disclosed its schedule of activities leading up to the Ondo State governorship election, set by the Independent National Electoral Commission for November 16, 2024.

Released and signed by the PDP National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, the timetable was posted on Monday at the party’s national headquarters, Wadata Plaza, in Abuja.

Key dates in the schedule include an interactive meeting between critical stakeholders and the NWC on March 5, 2024. The party’s congress, where the governorship candidate will emerge, is slated for April 25, 2024.

Expression of interest, nomination forms, and Ad-hoc forms will be available for purchase from March 7 to March 21, with the deadline for submitting completed forms set for March 25.

Governorship aspirants will undergo screening at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on March 27, and the screening reports are scheduled to be submitted on March 29. Appeals on the screening exercise are set for April 2, 2024.

Ward Congress to elect 3-man Ad-hoc Ward Delegates is scheduled for April 6 – April 7, with ward Congress appeals slated for April 10.

The certification of the deputy governorship candidate by the NWC is scheduled for May 9, while the deadline for submitting the name of the governorship candidate to the Independent National Electoral Commission is May 20.

The final date for withdrawal and replacement of candidates is set for June 10, as per the outlined timetable.
