The reconstruction of multi millions naira new Enyimba Ultra-Modern Stadium Aba started months ago would be ready for commissioning by September this year.
Abia State Commissioner for Information Honourable John Okiyi Kalu disclosed this during an interactive session with journalists in his office.
According to him, 98 per cent of work at the stadia has completed pointing out that FIFA Officials will expected to Abia State for confirmation of the stadium before September deadline.
He disclosed that the new stadium located at a serene environment in Aba commercial nerve centre of the South East has 20,000 seats capacity.
Chief Okiyi Kalu further disclosed that already commercial traders have started trooping to the stadium to re-establish business location ahead of commencement due to provision of five-star facilities built in and around the place for commercial operatives.
Some of the facilities put in place by Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu according to him include 32 toilets, drinking relaxation points, restaurants, convenient parking space, 24 hour security network, neat environment/exit routes premises and complete power plant among others.
He maintained that government does not believe in building gigantic projects adding that the September period was to enable the players to carry out training in the new stadium at list one month before the official opening.
