Liverpool emerged as the UEFA Super Cup winners after overcoming fellow English Premiership side, Chelsea in a penalty shootout encounter on Wednesday in Istanbul.

Fulltime scoreline was 2-2 before Liverpool emerged as winners. Chelsea took the lead through Olivier Giroud after an incisive Christian Pulisic pass

The match went to penalties where Tammy Abraham’s spot-kick was saved by stand-in goalkeeper Adrian.
