The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) is holding the 12th Sports Administration Course (SAC) in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, from Sept. 16 to Sept. 18.

Tony Nezianya, the NOC Public Relations Officer, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

He said the event was being organised in partnership with other sports administration bodies like the Olympic Solidarity, Nigeria Association for Physical, Health Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (NAPHER-SD), and Ekiti State University (EKSU).

The NOC Spokesman said the course would be held at the University’s Research and Development Centre in Ado-Ekiti.

“Developed within the International Olympic Committee (IOC) framework, the course offers foundational training for sports administrators, physical education teachers, sports journalists, and other industry stakeholders.

“The curriculum will focus on Olympic values, good governance, and effective organisational management,’’ he said,

Nezianya said the programme was aimed at equipping administrators with the knowledge and tools to improve and support athletes as well as advance sports development in Nigeria.

The course will be officially declared open by the President of the Nigerian Olympic Committee, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, and the Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof. J.B. Ayodele.
