Team Nigeria has continued to surge further in the quest to top the medals table on Thursday. From the badminton event, a gold and a silver medal have just been won.
Star player, Anuoluwapo Opeyori Juwon beat Mauritius’ Julien Georges Paul in two straight sets to maintain his ranking in Africa and as well win the gold medal in the Men’s Singles event.
In the Women’s Singles, Dorcas Ajoke Adesokan won the silver medal after she lost to South Africa’s Johanita Scholtz.
Nigeria still have two more final matches to play in the Men’s Double and Women’s Doubles.
