From an anticipated ‘soft’ Round of 16 match with any of the third-place teams in Group A, C and D, it is going to be a potentially tough match with probably Ghana on Friday.

Gernot Rohr and his players will have to do more, if their dream of moving beyond the Round of 16 is to be realized. The margin for error is drastically reduced as it is going to be a straight knockout. From that stage till the final match, it is a winner-takes-all affair.

Penalty kick training will have to be part of the daily schedule. Ghana play their last Group F match against Guinea Bissau and are expected to get results except they have been infested with the same bug that have made Super Eagles very ordinary.

In that wise, it would be any of the duo of Benin Republic and Guinea Bissau that will face the Super Eagles.
