The Paramount Ruler of Iwo Kingdom, in Iwo local government area of Osun State, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi , has congratulated the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Ahman Patigi University, Professor Mahfouz Adedimeji, which he described as manifestation of his hardwork of focus.
This is contained in a statement personally signed by the monarch and made available on his official social media on Thursday.
He said, “The purpose of every human is to challenge the status quo and path a new way capable of beating the test of time. Leadership skills are better manifested when saddled with responsibilities. The appointment of my son, Prof. Mahfouz Adedimeji, as the pioneer Vice Chancellor of Ahman Patigi University is a plus to me, Iwoland, Osun State and Nigeria at large.
“His appointment to head a university in one of the North Central states will further strengthen the unity of Nigeria. I’m happy.
“I felicitate with myself, his immediate family members, Iwoland and Osun State. I’ve no doubt in his ability to deliver effectively”.
Prof. Mahfouz who until his appointment was a lecturer at English Department, University of Ilorin is a former Acting Director, University of Ilorin Corporate Affairs.
Mahfouz A. Adedimeji is a language specialist with research interests in pragmatics, stylistics, sociolinguistics and applied linguistics.
