Defence authorities have said that scores of bandits in Maigamji village, Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State have flee with gun shoot injuries as troops of Operation FOREST SANITY overwhelmed them during a fire fight.
In a press statement on Monday, titled: TROOPS OF OPERATION FOREST SANITY RESPOND TO ATTACK RECOVERED AMMUNITIONS AND MOTORCYCLE, the Nigerian military said, on December 3 the troops responded to bandits’ attack on Maigamji village.
The statement issued by Major General Director Musa Danmadami, spokesman for Defence Media Operations, Defence Headquarters, added, “During a fire fight, troops engaged the terrorist forcing them to scamper with gun shoot injuries.
“Troops exploited the general area and recovered a bag containing seven (7) magazines loaded with 204 rounds of 7.62mm special, one (1)Techno mobile phone, one (1) motorcycle amongst other items”.
