The Founding Bishop of Ijaw Pastors and Ministers Fellowship (IPMF), Bishop Samson Amajene (JP+) has said that the absence of the federal government in terms of infrastructural development of oil bearing communities in Niger Delta, especially in the riverine areas is the major cause of intermittent militancy over the years.
He also attributed lack of the total submission to the will and service of God by most of the communities as compounding the problems.
Bishop Amajene disclosed this in a- three day powered packed crusade for total liberation titled:” Open Heaven” which was held in Oboro Community in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State on Wednesday, remarked that a lot of communities in the Niger Delta have black gold (Crude Oil) but are living in penury.
He added that the people are already blessed with natural resources adding that what is left is for them to embrace God for the federal government to recognise them for speedy growth and development to come to the land . He said when the people receive God Almighty their life can not be the same again and therefore charged the people to be prayerful in order to enjoy the good of the land.
The Cleric therefore commended the people for receiving the message adding , it shows that God has come to deliver them hence they will be blessed both spiritually and materially.
He therefore challenged the federal government to provide for the people in the region and used the medium to appeal to corporate organisations, government agencies, and well meaning Nigerians to support the body (IPMF) financially for the propagation of the gospel to every nook and crannies of the society.
On his part, Bishop Godspower Atalarerebo said the federal government’s neglect of the community is as a result of their distance from God which necessitated the devil to manipulate their blessings and therefore charged them to pray and get closer to God so as to defeat the Satan to enable the federal government remember them for the growth and development of the community in particular and Niger Delta region in general.
Speaking on the virtuous woman, Pastor (Mrs) Mercy Amajene said women should not rest in their oars but work to support their husband both physically and spiritually to ensure that the family experiences rapid growth and development. She said marriage is honourable and women should not co-habit with their spouses but ensure that their bride price is paid just as she encouraged the husbands to pay the bride pride of their wives.
