Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed his sympathy following a viral video showing President Bola Tinubu slipping while boarding the presidential parade vehicle at Eagles Square in Abuja.
According to PUNCH Online, President Tinubu momentarily lost his footing as he approached the vehicle shortly after arriving for the 2024 Democracy Day event. With the assistance of his security aides, he quickly regained his balance and continued with the proceedings.
Sharing the trending video on X.com, Atiku commented, “I sincerely sympathise with President Bola Tinubu, #officialABAT, over this unfortunate incident as he was set to review the parade on Democracy Day. I do hope that all is well with him.”
Nigerians have also taken to social media to react to the video. While some netizens mocked the President, others downplayed the incident, noting that he continued with the ceremonial rounds without further issues.
