The Sokoto State Police Command has confirmed the gruesome murder of a middle-aged woman in a hotel within the metropolis. The woman, a mother of four, was found dead in the hotel room where she allegedly went with her suspected killer.
ASP Ahmed Rufai, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview. He stated that the deceased was discovered in the hotel bathroom with her throat slit.
“We have commenced an investigation into the incident and have gathered useful information from documents the suspect left in the hotel room,” Rufai said. “We will update the press on our investigation as it progresses, but for now, we are diligently working on the case.”
Sources close to the deceased revealed that she was a divorced mother of four who occasionally visited the hotel. The police are actively pursuing leads and have collected information from the suspect’s documents and registration details at the hotel reception.
This tragic incident has shocked the local community, and the police are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice.
