In a raw and emotional live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has opened up about her past affair with Pastor Chris Okafor, the founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry (Liberation City).
During the interview, which quickly went viral, Doris admitted without hesitation: “I cheated on my husband with Chris Okafor.” She stressed that she is not proud of her actions and revealed that she never truly loved her ex-husband. In a particularly shocking disclosure, she claimed that while still married, she would pleasure herself on her marital bed and send the videos to the pastor.
The confession forms part of a larger, highly publicised saga that has gripped social media in recent weeks. The drama reignited in mid-December 2025 when a video emerged of Pastor Okafor proposing to another woman, sending Doris into visible distress.
According to Doris, her intimate relationship with the Anambra-born cleric began in 2017. The two allegedly met frequently at places like the Marriott Hotel in Lagos. She says she fell deeply in love with him and, under family pressure, briefly paused the affair in 2019 to get married. However, she claims her then-husband knew about her feelings for the pastor yet went ahead with the wedding. The affair reportedly resumed during the marriage and continued even after she left her husband, hoping Okafor would marry her.
Doris has also spoken of suffering a miscarriage (which she says was falsely labelled an abortion), sending explicit videos, lending money she claims was never repaid, and enduring deep emotional pain. She has linked some of her personal tragedies, including the mysterious death of her brother, to the fallout from the relationship. In recent emotional videos, she shared alleged old WhatsApp conversations from 2022 filled with affectionate exchanges and accused the pastor of leaking private material.
The proposal video appears to have been the breaking point. Doris was reportedly hospitalised after a suspected suicide attempt amid the heartbreak, and she has publicly declared that the planned wedding will not go ahead.
Public reaction has been divided: some express sympathy for Doris’ evident pain and mental-health struggles, while others criticise her for the affair itself and for airing such private matters so openly. Pastor Chris Okafor has not directly responded to the specific allegations from the Daddy Freeze interview, though he recently preached about arrogance and disrespect in relationships during a church service, without mentioning names.
As of 16 December 2025, the story continues to unfold, sparking widespread debate about love, betrayal, accountability, and the blurred lines between personal and public life in Nigeria’s entertainment and religious circles.
