A media outlet had erroneously reported, “Chief Ayo Adabanjo goes home at 90. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.” This news was swiftly debunked by Adebanjo’s Personal Assistant, Emmanuel, who confirmed to Vanguard that the Yoruba leader is alive and well.
“The news is a lie. Baba (Adebanjo) is alive,” Emmanuel stated emphatically when contacted.
When asked for a direct conversation with Adebanjo, Emmanuel explained, “He is still sleeping but I’ll call you when he wakes up.”
