A train traveling from Kaduna to Abuja derailed near Jere, Kaduna State, early Sunday morning, leaving dozens of passengers stranded. The train, which departed Kaduna at 8:05 a.m., derailed approximately an hour into its journey.

The incident, which affected three carriages, prompted an immediate response from security operatives. Personnel from the Nigeria Police and Army were on the scene to assist and ensure the safety of the passengers.

Reports indicate that no casualties have been confirmed yet, but authorities are working to determine the cause of the derailment and assess the situation fully.

Passengers are currently being evacuated, and further updates on the incident are expected as investigations continue.
