As Kebbi State independent electoral commission prepares itself for the local councils elections in the State which was scheduled to hold on October the 29th 2019,the emir of Zuru his royal highness Muhammad sami goma II has called on the ruling APC in the state to provide a level playing ground to all aspirants in the race for the post of executive chairmen across the state.
The royal farther made the call at Dabai district under Zuru local government when he visited the town,he added that, the immediate past local government chairmen did nothing to their people during their reign but enriched themselves through public funds,he didn’t mention names but confirmed that some of them had nothing before they become chairmen not even houses of their own but are now living in affluence.
He warned those planning to impose old candidates to the people to desist forthwith, his words “people must be allowed to chose their leaders those who are ready to work for them and who will respect traditional rulers and carry masses along in governance.
He thanked the governor of Kebbi State his excellency Senator Atiku Bagudu for agricultural intervention in his emirate and structures he put in place for the people,he pointed out that as royal farthers they will continue to support and assist the state government to implement its set objectives of moving the state forward, he called on his subjects to remain peaceful and law abiding.
