As the world marks international youths day, the Kebbi State chairman of National youth council of Nigeria (NYCN) Comrade Aliyu Haliru Bunza has warned youth home and abroad to desist from the habit of selling their consceince to politicians.
The state youth chief expressed anger over what happened in Ekiti and Osun governoship polls where youth sold their rights and conceince by collecting monies from politicians ” what the youth did have set dangerous precedence and is abhorred, it makes mockery of us despite our struggle to catch the center and the states” he said.
He admonished youth to pray for the country as what is happening in the country only prayers can solve them, we are exposed to many dangers so we must pray for peace to reign in Nigeria.
Bunza who scored Buhari/Bagudu governments on youth inclusion 70℅ said the number is fair but the youth have not so far lived to the expectations of those they are representing at all levels, citing over 6 commissioners in Bagudu’s cabinet and a very good number of youth in the state assembly “we should do well and stop blaming the leaders alone because we are now stakeholders in the art of governance.
On the 2023 polls he urged youth to stop voting along tribal and religious lines saying already the country have been divided along those lines, so the time to heal the wounds is now by voting only good leaders regardless of their religion and tribes.
