The Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) Nursery and Primary School, located at Gingiya Barracks, 8 Division, Sokoto, marked its 7th anniversary with a vibrant inter-house sports competition.
Speaking at the event, the Chairperson of NAOWA 8 Division, Mrs. Magdalene Indidi Ajose, highlighted the importance of the competition in fostering teamwork, leadership, physical fitness, and sportsmanship among the students. She noted that this was the maiden edition of the inter-house sports event, emphasizing the association’s commitment to making it a tradition.
Reflecting on the school’s journey, Mrs. Ajose attributed its success to the dedication of her predecessors, describing the past seven years as a period of growth, unity, and academic excellence.
The event’s chief guest, Major General Ibikunle Ajose, commended NAOWA for its remarkable achievements in education, referring to the school as a “citadel of learning.”
Represented by Brigadier General Abubakar Abdullahi Danladi, Commander of the 48 Engineers Brigade, Major General Ajose assured that the 8 Division would continue to support the school in sustaining its excellence.
