Hon Ndudi Elumelu, Tony Elumelu’s younger brother and Minority Leader of PDP in the House of Reps, today moved a motion during the 97th NEC meeting of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Wadata Plaza, Abuja, for the members of the party at the meeting to pass a vote of confidence on the embattled chairman of the party, Senator Ayu.

All the 393 members of the PDP present at the meeting voted yes that Ayu should continue as he is doing a good job as the party chairman.

What it means is that Senator Ayu’s job was saved as his mandate was reaffirmed by the senior members of the party for him to continue the good job that he is doing .

At the end of the day, democracy won as the majority carried the day.
