*Bullet Hit 5 Year-Old Child

The spokesman of Nigerian army, Sagir Musa (Col) has disclosed that Nigerian troops have killed scores of Boko Haram Terrorists in Damasak, Borno state.
Col Musa stated authoritatively: “Many Boko Haram terrorists met their waterloo in Damasak”.
Making the disclosure, the army spokesman said: “Nigerian Army stationed in Damasak, Mobbar Local Government Area of Borno State on Thursday repelled attack by Boko Haram insurgents who swarmed the area at about 2:30 pm but they were overpowered by the army”.
According to him, the battle which lasted for over two hours left a five-year-old, who was hit by stray bullet dead and young man also reportedly hit by a bullet, in a hospital at Mobbar, where he is receiving treatment.
Musa told The New Narrative that residents of the town also confirmed that the insurgents arrived in about 13 gun trucks and one gulf car and attempted to attack the military location from different angles there by trying to envelope their camp. But the soldiers swiftly beat the terrorists to their plot, “as the insurgents were seen by residents fleeing in disarray”.
“As the criminals were overwhelmed, they were seen retreating and shooting recklessly in all directions and also shot at two residents killing a child and injuring a young man in the process who is now receiving treatment in the hospital. The child who was hit also died in the hospital”, he said.
On whether there are casualties on the side of the troops, it was learnt that there was no casualty on the the military, but that the soldiers killed a number of Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists.
It was further gathered that some locals could confirm that they have seen seven corpses of the terrorists littered on the ground in the area.
Also learnt is that 4 Ak 47 rifles and the gulf car were captured by the military.
