The chairmanship candidate of the opposition party the peoples democratic party (PDP) Abbas Ibrahim Junju Thursday sent shock waves to the opposition fold in kebbi State when took a late decision to jion the ruling All progressives congress in the state.
Junju a two times aspirant of the state assembly under the opposition defected with 15 counsillorship hopefuls of the PDP,he was alleged to have lured with cash and a car by the state governor’s personal assistant Faruku musa Inabo who over the years has been on the trial of the young man because of his political prospects.
Responding before excited APC supporters junju described his return to the party as home coming,adding that he has been an ally to the Bagudu family particularly his elder brother Bello Bagudu who introduced him to politics.
He stated that his decision to join the APC was due to the lukewarm attitudes of the state PDP stalwarts who withheld their support and encouragement through out his political surjoun .
The state PDP image maker Ibrahim Ummai ignored calls made to his phone to confirm Abbas defection,as at the time of filling this report there are no words from the opposition.
