DralingtonOgbiti:This Article ByDrAnumaKalu Ulu is another piece of inestimable values. I did not know that hepatitis is preventable and it is also caused by viruses. My thinking was it is caused by alcohol. Thanks for making us to understand that hepatitis is also caused by drugs such as isoniazid used to treat tuberculosis (TB) and Paracetamol /panadol in toxic doses as well as heavy metals like copper. The dynamic and pragmatic Droutlayed the symptoms for alcoholic hepatitis. He made us to know that viral hepatitis are grouped into types A, B and C mainly and to lesser non-A, non-B and the E types. More so type C can be in one for years before manifestation. It can lead to chronic course. That type A which is not severe comes through contaminated food and drinks. Worth appreciating is the mentioning of the medications for the treatments. He said that types B and C are contracted the same way as HIV, but not by sweat, saliva and other body fluids. Except when they are mixed with infected blood.
