Onuigbo said that the ruling party in Abia state was in solidarity with their Ekiti state counterpart, which is also PDP state, adding that what affects Ekiti affects all of us and other Nigerians, because it could anybody tomorrow.
He said that if the police should continue to do the biddings of the ruling APC they would undermine the nation’s democracy, adding that the election in Ekiti state would serve as a litmus test, not only for the election in Ekiti but also the 2019 general election.
The Abia state PDP boss said, “What we are asking the federal government and the international observers is to ensure that election in Ekiti State is free and fair on Saturday“.
He called on the people of Ekiti to come out and vote on Saturday and also defend their votes, adding that they should not allow themselves to be intimidated by the police and other security agencies that have invaded the state.
