The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) formally introduced Finidi George as the new head coach of the Super Eagles on Monday, with a contract signing ceremony attended by top officials including NFF President Ibrahim Gusau and Sports Minister John Enoh.

Assisting Finidi in his coaching role are former Super Eagles player Daniel Amokachi and German-based Benjamin James. Mehmet Ozturk will serve as an analyst, while fitness trainer Chima Onyeike, with experience in Russia, Germany, and Greece, joins the team.

Goalkeeper trainer Olatunji Baruwa is also set to return to his role. However, reports suggest that Finidi’s contract might only span a year, raising questions about the duration of his tenure.

Despite this, Finidi is gearing up for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin, set for June.
