In a statement titled
“CBN, NOT INVADED BY DSS”, the Department of State Service (DSS) yesterday refuted media report (not News Express) claiming that the DSS invaded CBN’s headquarters and cordoned the office of the Governor of CBN, Godwin Emefiele.
Said the DSS in the statement issued by the
Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya PhD,
“The attention of the Department of State Services (DSS) has been drawn to the false news making the round that its operatives invaded the Central Bank of Nigeria and arrested its Governor, today 16/1/23. “This is fake news and quite misleading”.
